Ok, so I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. These photos were taken last April when I spent a number of weeks working in the Moapa Valley in southern Nevada. I was spending too many evenings in a hotel, so I decided to start taking my camera along so I had something to do.
Driving across the bleak landscape along I-15 between Mesquite and Las Vegas one would never know such a pleasant valley is hidden just out of view of the freeway. The town of Overton is situated at the south end of the valley. It’s a friendly little place, but it doesn’t offer many options for after-work diversion. So one evening I went for a drive to explore the area and just south of town came across the Overton Wildlife Management Area. These are a few images from that visit.
